Tom Silver’s Guitar CD!

November 3rd, 2009 by gad No comments »

This news came before the site was up, but it would be best to congratulate our own member, Tom Silver with the release of his classical guitar CD!

My CD “GUITAR MOSAIC” was released in July and is now listed on amazon.com and cdbaby.com I hope you’ll check it out, if for no other reason than to look at the Mosaic watercolor on the cover – painted specifically for this album by my wife Helen!  There are 21 tracks consisting of Classical Guitar (including 2 Bach’s), “Lite” Jazz, Brazilian and Celtic classics and some popular standards, including Classical Gas.  One highlight is an unbelievably beautiful arrangement of Moon River, played on a Martin steel string.   The album is packaged in a jewel box with protective sleeve.

A “sampler” album – “SELECTIONS FROM GUITAR MOSAIC” – is also available, though only from CD Baby as of right now.  This album consists of 14 representative tracks from the full length Guitar Mosaic album.  The album is packaged as a 4 panel CD wallet.

There is more info on my web site’s CD Store page, at sologuitarperformances.com

Site updates

November 2nd, 2009 by gad No comments »

This new site is still a work in progress, and it is being updated on my spare time after work and home chores. I want to progress some things faster, but I only have so much time on my hands. That said, we now have a new feature that lets you follow comments in posts by email. It was requested at the last guitar meeting to follow blog posts by email. That is one of a number of features to come in the near future. If you have any ideas or wishes please post in the comments below!

Just a note, comments will instantly appear below unless they are caught or marked as spam by the filter. We had a number of spam posts recently and we are trying to keep the conversations here relevant.
