NYCCGS presents Marcin Dylla
October 13th, 2016 by bob No comments »Rupert Boyd Recording Project
October 13th, 2016 by bob No comments »Dear Friends:
BOYD MEETS GIRL RECORDING.
Laura and I are very excited to go into the studio in two weeks time to record our debut album together as Boyd Meets Girl. Thank you to all the donors who have already made a contribution to this project. We have raised over 50% of the costs, but still need to raise the remainder of the funds. All donations are fully tax-deductible, and we would be most appreciative of contributions of any size (and as they say in the busking world, it doesn’t matter if you donate a little or a lot, so you may as well donate a lot…). This is a very special project for us, and we thank you in advance for considering to help make it a reality.

FANTASIAS.
My album Fantasías has continued to receive media attention. While Soundboard described the variety and order of the repertoire as “peculiar in the extreme”, American Record Guide called the album “a delightful program of rarely heard works, beautifully performed and arranged in a truly satisfying order”. If anyone has had a chance to listen to the full album, and has any thoughts, I’d love to know what you think.
The album is available for download, streaming, and in physical CD format here:http://www.rupertboyd.com/Fantasias.html
All best wishes for the Fall (north) // Spring (south),

Adult Chamber Music Program at the Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, NJ includes Classical Guitar!!
September 16th, 2016 by bob No comments »Guitarists- Now’s the time to join The Adult Chamber Program at Mason Gross School for the Arts. Last year, two classical guitarists participated with 2 flutists to form a quartet that worked beautifully. This year we hope to have more guitarists join. Join alone and look for a group with other participants–or join with your guitar or other musician friends (any instruments or vocalists) and form your own trio, quartet or more to be coached.
Leighann Narum–one of Mason Gross’s Extension Division College faculty members, https://mgedacmp.wordpress.com/faculty/
will again be coaching ensembles with guitarists and she really looks forward to having members of the NJ Guitar Society and their friends join !
for 12 two-hour coaching sessions (monthly or bi-monthly) as well as performance forums where ensembles have the opportunity to perform for one another. For more information go to : https://mgedacmp.wordpress.com/
For musicians under 18 years old, we have a separate Chamber group: https://mgedyap.wordpress.com/
