Two premieres highlight the program: the NJ Premiere of British composer Paul Wilkinson’s poignant and atmospheric “A Walk on Fort Island,” and the NJ Premiere of Baltimore composer Kendall Kennison’s  phantasmagorical “Guitar Sonata #1”.  “Composer Emeritus” Robert W. Rupert Boyd Recording Project

October 13th, 2016

Dear Friends:

BOYD MEETS GIRL RECORDING.

Laura and I are very excited to go into the studio in two weeks time to record our debut album together as Boyd Meets Girl. Thank you to all the donors who have already made a contribution to this project. We have raised over 50% of the costs, but still need to raise the remainder of the funds. All donations are fully tax-deductible, and we would be most appreciative of contributions of any size (and as they say in the busking world, it doesn’t matter if you donate a little or a lot, so you may as well donate a lot…). This is a very special project for us, and we thank you in advance for considering to help make it a reality.

FANTASIAS.

My album Fantasías has continued to receive media attention. While Soundboard described the variety and order of the repertoire as “peculiar in the extreme”, American Record Guide called the album “a delightful program of rarely heard works, beautifully performed and arranged in a truly satisfying order”. If anyone has had a chance to listen to the full album, and has any thoughts, I’d love to know what you think.

The album is available for downloadstreaming, and in physical CD format here:http://www.rupertboyd.com/Fantasias.html

All best wishes for the Fall (north) // Spring (south),

Rupert Boyd
