Noted for his “astounding technical proficiency and artistic delicacy” by the Boston Musical Intelligencer, Larget-Caplan is an international touring and recording artist. He has performed solo and chamber music in Europe, Russia, Taiwan, and across the United States. A gifted performer and speaker, he is sought for his deft programming of new and standard repertoire, while connecting with audiences with a Bernstein-esque ease. Larget-Caplan is the founder of the New Lullaby Project, a 21st century commissioning and recording endeavor that asks composers to write classical miniatures in the genre of a lullaby for guitar solo.

Hailed a “string sensation” by BBC Music Magazine, British-French guitarist and composer Laura Snowden is acclaimed for her “poise and intensity” (Guardian) and playing of “extraordinary depth” (Strings, Classical Music Magazine). The first guitarist to graduate from the Yehudi Menuhin School, made possible by the Rolling Stones, she was invited by guitarist Julian Bream to premiere his latest commissions at Wigmore Hall in 2015 and 2017. Laura’s international appearances have since built rapidly, with festival debuts across Europe as well as concerto debuts with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and Münchener Kammerorchester, and a recording of Lisa Streich’s guitar concerto Augenlider with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester.

Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with New York-based guitarist and composer Carlos Pavan, who skillfully blends Argentine rhythms with classical and jazz concepts. Argentine born Carlos Pavan arrived to New York in 2000 to pursue musical studies with maestros Jorge Morel, Dave Smey, and Pablo Ziegler. Since then, he’s performed at well-renowned venues such as Lincoln Center, New York City Center, and New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall in Boston. At the present he is the composer/guitarist/artistic director of the Park Slope Chamber Players.

Bill Viola was a prominent classical guitar guitar instructor in Philadelphia in the 1960s and was among the founding members of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, serving on the board and as treasurer for many years. The Bill Viola Memorial Fund has been established to inspire under-served individuals in our community through musical experiences, music instruction and music education. The fund’s Inaugural Concert features Elliot Fisk, his most prominent student.
Guitarist Eliot Fisk is known worldwide as a charismatic performer famed for his adventurous and virtuosic repertoire. He is also celebrated for his willingness to take art music into unusual venues (schools, senior centers, and even logging camps and prisons!). After nearly 50 years before the public he remains as his mentor Andres Segovia once wrote, “at the top line of our artistic world.”
